Who Are We?

Our Mission

We strive to provide top-quality fantasy maps in many styles to our customers.
Beg, Borrow and Steal Productions is a multi-artist team who work hard to create maps that are as beautiful as they are functional.

It’s important to us that our maps are detailed and realistic. Players and game masters alike should not need to guess what details are in their environment. Our maps aim to provide realistic landscapes that make sense to those who use them. In every map, we aspire that the view will find little details that set our content apart. Whether it is our research into historical architectural examples to inspire our maps, or our knowledge of botany, geography and the physical sciences;  attention to detail will always be at the core of our philosophy.

We are our own critics, we constantly critique each other’s work, but we also desire feedback from our customers. We promise to take feedback in the manner it is intended… to create a better product for you all.

That’s what it means to be an artist at Beg, Borrow and Steal Productions. Extreme detail. Striving to create the best quality maps and listening to feedback to become better.

Meet the founder of Beg, Borrow and Steal Productions:

Jarrad Blackburn aka Hynrafoo

Working from Exmouth, Western Australia on the stunning Ningaloo Reef, Jarrad is a classically trained concert pianist, music teacher, composer and most recently... CARTOGRAPHER!
He's been making maps professionally for a year and, after so long creating with sound, has really enjoyed the change to a visual medium. Jarrad believes that good maps must prioritise gameplay first but also make sense to the player. In addition to making maps, Jarrad also writes all the short stories that accompany each of the business' maps and is the author of the Beg, Borrow and Steal Productions Module: "The Problems with Spidersilk - A Cautionary Tale"
