So I haven’t forgotten about my castle project! I have even found the perfect spot! I started by deciding what type of castle I wanted to build and decided on a design similar to the Beaumauris/Harlech design with elements of the approaches of Stirling or Edinburgh castles.
After designing my castle:
(I know… brilliant sketch!!)…. the next job was to design the land upon which it would be built.
So that is where I’m up to now. I have designed a bluff that would be not out-of-place in Wales somewhere. From here I will flesh out the sketch of the castle and include all the interior buildings as well as some farm land in the clear grassland around the south eastern corner of the map. Please understand that I have not finished creating the land, more detail will be added… this is very much a work in progress.
Once the overview of the castle is complete, the next phase will be the individual battlemaps of each of the castle sections.
BUT HERE IS THE FIRST PART OF INPUT I WILL GET FROM YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE!!!!!
I need a name for the stream which has carved the moat around the castle. So if you would like to suggest a name for the stream…
