Well another month comes to a close…

December is close upon us and it’s time for me to hit the hardest part of my year… Christmas.

I’m not going to lie, getting three maps out this month is going to be tough. I’m a music teacher and professional musician. Christmas is literally the culmination of EVERYTHING I DO. I’m already working 15 hour days and it isn’t even December yet.

So here’s the deal. I’m going to try to release three maps in December as usual. If I fail, I will  refund your December pledges. I think that’s fair. You didn’t sign up for excuses. You wanted maps.

But I’m hoping it won’t come to that. It’s not as if I’ve been idle. This month’s mega build is another foray into forced perspective. “The lair of the Elder Brain.” And for the first time ever, I’m going to give you a sneak peak at the construction, about 6 hours into the build.

I know I know, it doesn’t look like much yet. The maps always look bland and lifeless before the shadow and lighting stage… but trust me… it’s going to look awesome. The perspective isn’t quite right yet either, but I still have some tweaking to do on that anyway.

We have all had a hell of a year. And whilst my little corner of the world has fared better than most, it’s still been a long, tiring slog anyway. I can’t imagine how it’s been for folks in the rest of the world. I can tell you this… having you people sign up to my patron account has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve experienced this year and, quite frankly, has been a major stress relief. Also my wife is happy at least one of my hobbies is paying for itself.

To those going into the Christmas season with a heavy heart, I wish you solace and peace in this holiday time.

Be safe, sling dice with friends and family and as always… Have fun.

Happy Holidays,
